Details
The Ventilated Firestop must be used on solid fuel appliances.
This is used to allow the chimney to pass between floors.
The steel plate provides the appropriate distance between the flue and the adjacent flammable materials, according to both fire and building regulations. It is attached to the underside of the ceiling. If you are going through 2 ceiling then you should use a another Firestop plate on the floor and again on the next ceiling.
You should use a Ventilated Firestop when the installed appliance will burn solid fuels, for example wood, coal, etc.
A Non-Ventilated Firestop plate can be used on installations burning gas or oil.
Distance to combustibles is 60mm.
HETAS Approved and is CE marked.
